A new podcast series featuring deep-dive interviews with personalities from the world of culture, hosted by
Farah Nayeri, a London-based culture writer for the New York Times. In the first episode, Farah is having a conversation with Emma Thompson, the two-time Oscar winner actress, who talks about post-#metoo Hollywood, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and how she would have liked to be a vicar. In the second episode Farah is talking to the grammy-award winning guitarist, composer and producer, Nile Rodgers. Nile speaks about the breakup of Daft Punk predicting they'll get back together. He remembers recording with Madonna and the genius that was David Bowie. AND, as a special bonus, he plays some beautiful guitar on the show! In the third episode, Farah is back with another superstar guest - Nan Goldin! In her first-ever podcast, Nan makes revelations about her campaign against the Sackler family, makers of OxyContin (a painkiller she became addicted to); her experience of male brutality; and her true feelings about Instagram Farah has been covering culture since 2004. Over the years, her roster of interviewees has included artists David Hockney, Ai Weiwei, Christo, Jeff Koons, Joan Jonas and Damien Hirst; architects Zaha Hadid, Frank Gehry, and Rem Koolhaas; songwriter and poet Patti Smith; directors Wim Wenders, Steven Soderbergh, and Spike Lee; actors Judi Dench, Morgan Freeman and Gwyneth Paltrow; and conductors Daniel Barenboim and Simon Rattle.
