Sea por medio de la espontaneidad o de un previo estudio concienzudo, resulta indispensable conocer cómo han sido interpretadas, valoradas y recreadas las obras artísticas más sobresalientes de la historia. Al escuchar este material, conoceremos de qué modo ha cambiado el concepto de experiencia estética, gracias al cúmulo de conocimientos filosóficos y científicos por los cuales el hombre rige y construye su vida. This podcast is meant to be an introduction to Alexander Calder as a sculptor for 4th grade on up. First, it describes one of his mobiles as though someone would see it for the first time, not knowing what one is. Then, it gives background information about the artist in first person narrative. It ends with a challenge for the listener to create a mobile of their own, encouraging the listener to recruit others to do the same and have a 'mobile circus' performance with music. It is meant as a part one of two, with a second podcast that would give direction on supplies and procedure. I wanted to create this type of format for the center based art room, where students would not need a teacher to get them started on a task. more

Max Liebermann gehört zu den bedeutendsten Vertretern des deutschen Impressionismus und war Kopf der Berliner Secession.1903 erfolgte eine erste Veröffentlichung als Professor der Akademie der Künste unter dem Titel Die Phantasie in der Malerei. Hierin lehnte er Gebilde, die nicht auf die Anschauung eines Wirklichen zurückgingen, kategorisch ab. Bei der Malerei sei das Sujet im Grunde gleichgültig, es komme auf „die den malerischen Mitteln am meisten adäquate Auffassung der Natur' an. Damit lehnte er die junge Bewegung der abstrakten Kunst, insbesondere den Expressionismus, entschieden ab. Liebermanns Essay war keine Kampfschrift, es war sein persönliches Plädoyer für den Naturalismus und den Impressionismus. Im April 1916 erschien Liebermanns Essay Die Phantasie in der Malerei erstmals in Buchform. In der hinzugefügten Einleitung schrieb er: „Und waren je die ästhetischen Ansichten verwirrter als heut? Wo ein jüngerer Kunstrichter aus den Schützengräben Flanderns heraus schreibt, daß der Krieg nicht nur für die Existenz Deutschlands, sondern über den Sieg des Expressionismus entscheidet.'(Zusammenfassung aus Wikipedia) more

Il professor Gian Vico Melzi d'Eril, discendente dell'erede di Leonardo, ha ricostruito la storia dei fogli dell'artista rinascimentale, seguendone le tracce in Inghilterra, in Spagna, in Francia e anche negli Stati Uniti e raccogliendo aneddoti e storie sui personaggi che negli ultimi cinque secoli sono entrati in possesso del materiale vinciano.
